Encouraging news is arriving now: the court has approved weekly visits between the mother and the six children of Yoel Weingarten. The visits will take place under supervision by a government employee.
This follows many months during which the activists named by this campaign—Yoel Yehoshua Heshel Bloom and Avraham Greenhut—worked to sever even the smallest connection between the mother and her children.
Thank God, this welcome development is a ray of light in the darkness. May all children who remain separated soon be fully reunited with their parents.

A hearing was held today in Rockland County Family Court concerning the six children of Yoel Weingarten and the new temporary custody order obtained two weeks ago by Yoel Yitzchak Bloom of Monsey. Yoel Yitzchak Bloom and Yoel Yehoshua Heshel Bloom attended the hearing. The court scheduled a trial—a longer court proceeding—for the twentieth of Kislev.
In other news, a hearing is planned for tomorrow concerning the five children of Yaakov Nachum Weingarten. It concerns the order of protection obtained by Yoel Yehoshua Heshel Bloom between the mother and the children. That order is preventing the children from being returned even though the earlier custody arrangement was vacated some time ago.
May all children who are not with their parents soon be reunited with them. Good news.

Friday afternoon, 5:00 PM:
This campaign reports that, following efforts attributed to Bloom to place a father of ten in detention in Mexico—a particularly difficult place for an observant Jew to be—R’ Meir Yoel Malka was arrested through Interpol after a meeting had allegedly been arranged under false pretenses. He has already been detained for approximately half a year.
At today’s hearing, the judge ruled that he should be sent to Mexico.

Thursday night, Parshas Nitzavim–Vayeilech
Last Wednesday, Parshas Ki Savo, a judge dismissed the custody case concerning the six children of Yoel Weingarten. The court accepted the family lawyer’s argument that the custody filing had been made improperly because the children were not yet in the United States when it was filed.
When the family approached the police to return the children, the police said that the ruling only vacated custody and did not include a separate order requiring the children’s return, so they could not intervene.
Two days later, Yoel Yehoshua Heshel Bloom went to court and obtained a new temporary custody order. Further hearings are expected.
In other news, the upsherin of R’ Chaim Yaakov Rosner’s three-year-old child took place on Tuesday afternoon without the parents present. At the previous hearing, the father gave permission for the haircut to proceed because the matter had already been delayed for a long time and he did not want it postponed until the next hearing.
